By using PasteAndCheck (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What PasteAndCheck Does
PasteAndCheck uses AI to identify potential red flags in text you provide — such as suspicious messages, emails, and communications — and offers a plain-language assessment of scam risk.
Results are informational only. We are not a law enforcement agency, financial institution, or legal advisor. Our analysis may be inaccurate. Always use your own judgment and consult appropriate authorities when in doubt.
2. Fair Use Policy
PasteAndCheck is designed for personal use — helping individuals assess suspicious messages they have received. To keep the service fast, affordable, and available to everyone, we ask that you use it fairly.
Permitted uses
- Checking messages, emails, or texts you personally received
- Helping a friend or family member assess a suspicious communication
- Occasional use by journalists, researchers, or educators for non-commercial analysis
Prohibited uses
- Automated or scripted access — using bots, scripts, or programs to submit checks without human interaction
- Bulk analysis — submitting large volumes of text as part of a data processing pipeline or commercial workflow
- Reselling or re-licensing — incorporating results into a product or service you sell to others without our written permission
- Account sharing — sharing a paid account login among multiple people to circumvent per-seat pricing
- Circumventing limits — creating multiple accounts, using VPNs or proxies, or any other method to bypass free-tier restrictions
What happens if you exceed fair use
If we detect usage that is automated, unusually high volume, or otherwise inconsistent with personal use, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate your account without notice. Paid subscriptions are not refunded for violations of this policy.
If you have a legitimate high-volume use case — such as a non-profit helping vulnerable populations, or a security team — contact us at support@pasteandcheck.com to discuss options.
3. Accounts and Subscriptions
Free accounts are limited to 2 checks. Paid plans (Monthly at $4.99/month or Annual at $39/year) provide unlimited checks for personal use, subject to the Fair Use Policy above.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
4. Privacy and Data
When you submit text for analysis, it is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. We store the text and analysis results associated with your session for service operation and abuse prevention. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
5. No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that our analysis is accurate, complete, or timely. Scam tactics evolve — our tool may miss new or sophisticated schemes. Do not rely solely on PasteAndCheck to make financial or safety decisions.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PasteAndCheck and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses resulting from reliance on inaccurate analysis. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users.
